I think you're amazing for diving in the deep end and learning Japanese via reading manga, and clearly not giving up. Plus you seem really interesting, and I love how you're not afraid to give your opinion on books!

I wish my brother were still alive - he also taught himself to read Japanese when he was stationed there, and he was insanely fluent. You would have had fun with him, I think.

I remember your fics over on Echoes. I love your love for books and how you're honest about them. I love finding out things you like and then I go ... OMG I love that/them/it too.

I also love that you share your vast knowledge. As long time stay-at-home-mom/housewife/homemaker - (none of which terms I agree with actually) I feel I don't have enough to share or reciprocate, so I love learning from others, hearing their opinions and just thoughts in general of the world at large, and it's usually easier to hear it from someone I feel connections with.

And that's a good thing - even if that came out rather stalkery reading it back now *is embarrassed* ^_^ ahahaha. *nervous laughter*

I love your book posts! I'm always looking for new authors to read and I keep telling myself that I'm going to go back and PAY MORE ATTENTION, but I haven't yet. *g*
