     Zola Jesus is one of a limited number of artists whose recordings pale in comparison to her live shows, and her live performance of this song illustrates why.

     Electric Six – Table and Chairs
     This band is insanely good on their albums. They're insanely good live. And this is an insanely good love song.

     This one is such a gimme. But god, I wish they were still together.

     Marriages – Ride In My Place
     This track is atmospheric and beautiful, and made me fall in love with Marriages.

     REM – Gardening At Night
     REM recorded several versions of this track. I like the vocals in this one the best.

     One of my favorites from O'Carolan.

     Fever Ray – A Part Of Us
     You can write a trite love song, or you can write one like this. I saw Fever Ray perform this live about a year and a half ago. The entire concert was one of the best I've ever seen.

12 - a song from your pre-teen years
     Tom Petty – Don’t Come Around Here No More
     I saw them perform this live while touring for Full Moon Fever. The seth featured a giant, gnarled old oak with a staircase wrapped around the trunk. During the outtro, three men in Secret Government Agent-style suits descended from the tree as strobe lights flashed and chased Tom around the stage, in one of the best things I've ever seen at a rock concert.
