...but I'll give it a try. Does anyone know where (if?) in Windows settings one can change the default so that new programs/windows/etc. open in the background instead of popping inconveniently up over whatever document or spreadsheet one happens to be reading or typing in?
I have tried searching for an answer on the Open Internet, but everything I've turned up pertains to tabs within browsers, and not programs.
