Day 8
In your own space, post self-recs for at least three fanworks that you created. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
This one keeps getting trickier as the number of times I've participated in Fandom Snowflake approaches the number of fics I typically write in a year. Having said that, here are three things I've written and feel like reccing today:
Domesticity is Bliss / Silver Diamond / Rated G / 2,566 words
Rakan just wants to finish his coursework. But real life has a way of intervening, especially when houseguests are involved.
This was the first Silver Diamond fanfic on the global Internet! And I wrote it! Better yet, I still think it holds up 15 years later, long after the canon series proper concluded.
Revisions / The Watchmaker of Filigree Street / Rated G / 3,925 words
Love and friendship, like learning another language and everything else in life, require practice to perfect.
And this was the first Watchmaker fic on AO3. This one was really challenging to write, not only due to having to get into Mori's head, but because I had to tap it out and edit it on a mini-tablet in Tokyo after my computer died. But I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Reading Assignment / Injection / Rated G / 100 words
Red's mission, should he choose to accept it...
While this was the most recent Injection fanfic posted to AO3. This one was great fun to write, both for the hard 100 word limit, and for the challenge of getting Headland and Red's (to me hilarious--seriously, it's my favorite thing about this series) dynamic into that structure. There needs to be more fanfic for this series, especially now that it seems Ellis has abandoned it.
