1. Something your favorite character would like + 5. Something you find comforting

My favorite characters are legion, so there's any number of ways I could answer these two prompts together, let alone just the first. That said, I'm going to go with chamomile tea, because few things are more comforting on a rainy day like today, and because if chamomile tea is good enough for The Goblin Emperor's Edrehasivar VII, it's good enough for me.

2. Something that makes you laugh + 7. A piece of clothing you love

Behold the Cybertronic Spree.

When I learned that the Cybertronic Spree planned to bring the power of ROCK MUSIC to my absolute favorite local venue, I bought a ticket posthaste so that they might ROCK my FACE off in person robot. Knowing that they had covered Danger! High Voltage on at least one occasion, I wore my Electric Six t-shirt to the show.

Toward the end of the set, Shockwave pointed at me, threw me a Cybertronic Spree Dinobots t-shirt...

...and then the band preceded to cover "Danger! High Voltage".

You guys. I saw the Cybertronic Spree. I saw them cover Danger! High Voltage. And Shockwave threw me a t-shirt.

3. A fandom place you would like to visit + 6. Something from a favorite TV series or movie from your childhood

Machu Pichu is one of the locations that features prominently in the 1980s a joint Japan-France production called 太陽の子エステバン, or in English, The Mysterious Cities of Gold. This show had an outsized influence on my life. It sparked a lifelong interest in history in general, and the history of the pre-Columbian western hemisphere in particular. It sparked a lifelong interest in anime, which led to two enduring interests: fandom and Japan. The latter led me to learn Japanese, which led me to a lot of the stuff I do professionally now. All of that from a now-obscure animated series that, for a host of reasons, would probably not be aired on a children's television channel today.

4. A fandom creator (pro or not) you'd like to meet

In theory, I'd like to meet any and every creator who's work I admire. In reality, I'm introverted and socially awkward enough that I would wisely opt out if actually presented with the chance. That said,

Shockwave throwing me a t-shirt was pretty damn awesome.

5. Something you find comforting + 7. A piece of clothing you love

A few days out of the year (i.e., during Renn Fest) this herringbone wool cloak does its duty as a herringbone wool cloak. The remaining 360-odd days it is my curl-up-and-read-on-the-couch blanket.

8. A book or song with a color in the title

The only correct response to this question would be to post a photo of the series Silver Diamond, by my future wife, Sugiura Shiho.

9. Something only someone in your fandom would understand

Go for the fan in the E6 t-shirt, Shockwave eyes, Boo!

I'm not familiar with that fandom, but getting to see a favorite band in person, hearing them cover a favorite song, and getting a t-shirt from them sounds like an absolutely amazing experience! And yes, very much agree on chamomile tea being the perfect rainy day comfort item! :)

Number 4 sounds like me. I talk a big game but I’m really very quiet.

Machu Pichu is a great choice. It would be such a fascinating place to visit.

Also, I love that cloak. What a very specific and yet always useful garment.

And yeah, I hear you about number 4. There are so many people I'd love to meet - and then be too tongue-tied and only think of all the questions I'd like to ask them afterwards.
