And yet, after two years I find myself being drawn right back into the fold. Several things are responsible for this state of affairs.
1. Yuletide. Which I tried got the first time this year. I spent my academic career longing to be free of writing deadlines only to volutarily subject myself to writing deadlines once I was actually free of them.
2. Game of Shadows. I now understand how a large portion of the moviegoing public can get so enthusiastic about blah movies with random T&A thrown in because this movie is the fandom equivalent of random T&A and it is glorious.
3. BBC Sherlock. On the two occasions when I mentioned my love of the above movie to two separate individuals, I was told in no uncertain terms to watch this series. I have, and my brain has been duly eaten. So, thanks for that, guys.
4. Koori no Mamono. Which I am currently rereading and loving even more than the first time through, if that is possible. I have such overwhelming affectipn for all these characters--it's like meeting up with old friends again after a long absence and finding out the the old rapport is still there, as strong as ever.
