Full discloser: I hate House. Not the show, but the character. Really hate. And with that out of the way, tonight's episode was teh awesome.

Cutthroat Bitch is back!

She's back! The only character out of the new bunch who was at all interesting is back! I so, so, so hope they keep her on (with the corollary that the writers/producers don't punish her for being the female counterpart to House, as they've shown a tendency to do thus far1.

That said, it was nice to see Kumar getting a few good lines and 13 not getting much to say at all.

1I'm not terribly hopeful on this front,as the Main Character Syndrome that House suffers from is only rivaled by that of Lestat in Anne Rice's later efforts.

Huh. I really can't stand her. Okay, she kind of salvaged herself in her last episode with the punk rocker, but I think I'd have liked her more if she didn't remind me of a chick I worked with over the summer. Same style of speaking and look and everything. Not cutthroat, but very aware of her own intelligence and input to the exclusion of everyone else, though.

I will have to reevaluate her on the basis of your liking her, though.

See, I enjoy her because she is the female version of House, and therefore the only real opportunity for the writers to confront him with someone as assholish and hard to deal with as he is. (And thus, the chance that he might actually be outdone by another character for once.)

Also, it's nice to see a female character who is very much in tune with her goals and ambitions, and who isn't likely to fall in love with House and yearn hopelessly to "save him."

And that is why I love her.
