Mon Pere: So Harry survives till the end and then has to throw it all away in a heroic and irreversible act of self-sacrifice--
Moi: Congratulations. You've just written a better book.
Mon Pere: Oh, boy.

Conversation Deux:
Mon Pere: Okay, then, how about this: So let's say they're tracking down those six--
Moi: Seven.
Mon Pere: --seven Horcrux things, and they can't find the last one, because it's actually Harry's scar.
Moi: ::pricks up ears::
Mon Pere: Snape realises and then he's got to tell Harry that the only way to kill Voldemort is to let him blast the scar--
Moi: ::slightly decreases father's accuracy rating::
Mon Pere: Which he does, and so Harry willingly--
Moi: ::slightly increases father's accuracy rating::
Mon Pere: --blasts it, and kills Voldemort, only in the process he destroys his own wizarding powers as well.
Moi: Congratulations. You've just written a better book.
Mon Pere: Oh, Jesus.
