...to eps 2.09
This is probably going to be my favorite episode in season two, thanks to the wonderful Sokka action. Somebody get that poor kid a 21st century to live in.He can be my Veggies and Straight Talk Fellow whenever he wants. Also had some nice zingers in the Zuko-Iroh interactions. Poor Zuko, and poor me--his bits are reminding me just how much it sucked to be sixteen. And how sad is it that he can only cry out of one eye? Finally, I am digging on Toph very, very much. Nice job again on the part of the scriptwriters on showing (as opposed to telling) us viewers how the differences in temperments influence what bending ability a person will acquire.
and 2.10, in which our gang learns the valuable life lesson that that fantabulous vacation resort is never as awesome as it looks in all the shiny travel brochures. Nice Miyazaki-ish villain here, and nice touch with poor Toph being blind on the sand. And finally, OH NO, APPA!!!
Very nice and dramatic ep, which helps to explain why it took me so long to locate the massive logical flaw no one seems to be realizing: solar eclipses seldom last longer that seven minutes.
