...was so good. So very, very good. And now I want All The Fic for so many of these characters, because it's going to be a long wait until the next one.
OH MY GOD ... it was wasn't it? I thought it had everything! I think for me the stand out characters were Yondu(Yondoo? SP?), Nebula (of course having a crush on the amazing Karen Gillan helps) and Baby Groot! I am in love with the soundtrack or it could be just nostalgia pressing all the right buttons for me. That opening song man! ^_^
I am so happy to know someone else though it was so very good!
Oh, Yondu. I didn't even realise I had it in me to have all those Feels. Nebula was fantastic and I'm always pleased when a seemingly black-and-white character turns out to have much more going on than initially meets the eye. Baby Groot was, of course, fantastic.
I feel very strongly that I will too within the next week or so. It absolutely hit my sweet spot for humor and drama, and oh, the character development.
The funeral pyre was set up so lovingly, with that little sweep so we could see the gemmed 'frog' and the troll doll. Thinking about it, that burial method probably is intended to substitute for a Captain going down with his ship. Like Yondu's chair was about taking the things you love with you.
Now, is an exploding living planet anything like a planet undergoing ala Star Trek Genesis?
