It's been awhile, hasn't it? While incommunicado I have been extremely busy - to the point where I actually missed buying this month's issue of IchiRaci. Truly, a cause for much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I was in a bookstore this afternoon in the next town over looking at all the fun new BL monthlies that are available - and which I can't buy. Nothing sucks quite as mightily as small town Japan, where my every purchase is duly noted by Persons Unseen, who relay updates on my activities to the Town at Large.

Verily, I must find my way back to the city.

So then...who does buy the BL monthlies? Someone has to, right, or they wouldn't be there.

Or are you just under more observation than most.

Japanese women buy the monthlies (I hear that they're targetted toward high school girls, but I've never seen someone under the age of 25 near them...).

My problem is that I'm one of five caucasian foreigners in the city, have a very unconventional appearance by rural Japanese standards, and the only foreigner in the area who can read Japanese. So of course everyone is interested in what I read.

Which wouldn't be bad if I wasn't into teh man pr0n.

As it so happens, I'll be in the city in two weeks for the Section Trip. I definitely have all of Sunday free, if you'd like to meet up.

Do you have a keitai number and/or text? Should I give ya mine?
