Question: How much of a story will you plan out before you start? Do you stick to the plan (always, usually)? What is the first thing you think of when you get an idea for a story--an image, a scenario, etc--and what is the last thing you end up writing? Do you write in or out of order?

That seems like a lot of questions, but really it's one question about process. If you want to anser another one, are there any authors whose style you admire and have (consciously or subconsciously) incorporated into your own work?
