Since this has now made the requisite third appearance on my flist, I figured it was time to pimp it myself.

Ozone's Dragostea Din Tei in its original form is here.

The PURE BRILLIANCE of the Japanese flash fanvid is here.

I'm not posting the lip synch version because some ne'er-do-good has made it unfunny.

Woah.

For some reason RealOne didn't want to play the original vid, but the fanvid was .... yeah.

What is this group?

Ah, much is explained. So is that bit Romanian or Turkish or something like that?

It's very addictive.

Yup, I do believe it's Romanian, which is why I thought the lyrics were French the first time I heard it. (Course, now all I hear are the Japanese 'lyrics!')

Anyway, I'm surprised you haven't heard this before; it gets played at the mall in my town all the freaking time, although I didn't realise what it was until I saw the video for it.

You're looking at the most oblivious person on the planet. I may very well have heard it every day for a week and I wouldn't notice. Mind if I pass on the links?

Have you watched it recently? Someone inserted a bunch of jump cuts to other people's faces which are neither clever nor funny.

And here (http://www.ebaumsworld.com/numanuma.html) is the travesty of the remake.

The problem with that fanvid is that ever since I saw it, I can only hear "Arlong? Arlong"...

My favorite moment has to be the 脱線しての? さらに肉 bit because its so wrong, and so very, very funny.

Slow to react, as so often... I just clicked on this.

The Japanese flashvid is a screech! What, they're not really singing "Rabu study day"? Because that's sure what it sounds like to me. ^_^

The link to the original Dragostea video isn't working (I think the site might have removed it and put up other Ozone videos in its place), so not at first realizing what Dragostea actually was, I spent several minutes watching the Japanese version and trying to figure out why I was hearing Czech words in a Japanese song. 0_0

On reflection, I think I remember seeing the lipsynch version before it was made unfunny. Does anyone have an untainted copy of that, or was it one of those things that was only ever available streamed?

(Also, one of the links at the end of the Japanese flashvid appears to lead to a gay sex lipsynch version -- clothed, but with plenty of innuendo. Just sayin.)

Sadly, it all sounds like Japanese to me now. If only they'd vidded the whole song.

Grrr. I wish the original vid was still up, because it was possibly the gayest thing I've ever seen in my life. So campy, and it knows it too. I'll see if I can't uncover it elsewhere online.

I could only find the original lipsynch streamed, but it had to have been available elsewhere, because no one could have unfunnied it otherwise. It seems like the original stream has been removed too. I wonder if the guy got angry at someone messing with his vid of beauty.

I'll have to check out that other lipsynch version. Once I'm no longer at work, that is;)
