I've been putting off a visit to the Big City for weeks. Why, you ask? Why, to wait for today, when the fifth Saiyuki Reload tankoubon was released - the last of all the new manga and novels I've been itching to buy.
Today finally rolled around and I headed into the city. It's a little lame to spend $6.00 a pop just to buy manga I could get in town (if anonymity wasn't a factor), so I made plans to go to the city's castle and art museum as well.
Well, the art museum was closed today, and the castle was closed indefinitely for repairs. Okay, so this has turned into a manga-buying venture, I told myself. Very well. It's still cheaper than going all the way to Tokyo. With that thought in mind, I headed to Animate...
...only to discover that none of the new tankoubon I wanted were in stock. No Saiyuki Reload. No Silver Diamond 5. None of the others, either (I had six on the list). Woe. I did manage to console myself with the new issue of Silver Diamand and

sara_tanaquil, I cannot WAIT for you to get your hands on it so that I squee about it to someone else. This series keeps getting better, and better, and better and better. Let me know when you get your IR so that I can start squeeing about it publicly.
