I did this last year and it worked out pretty well, so let's try it again. Below the cut are 50 books I need to read, reread, or finish reading. It's not a list of books I have to finish this year, or a list of the only books I'm allowed to read this year, but rather a list to see how many of the books, out of those I felt I might like to read this year on January 4th, I actually did read by December 31st.

(And very excited to see the Sam Wyndham book on there! Love that series.)

Also: I'm super excited to start Shadows of Men. It took forever for it to publish over here.

(and yes, the icon. XD Probably my favourite icon, tbh!)
It's really, really good! The entire series is super good, and emotionally devastating in the best way.

I have too many books.I really like watching Mukherjee grow as an author with each subsequent book. And I'm super excited (and a little trepidatious) to start this latest, because I understand the subject matter is going to be heavy and I just want them to be happy together.

I know that feelingThey're really, really good! Very dark, but in a way that is extremely well earned and makes you think a lot. If you like Blake and Avery (which I obviously know you do XD) I think you have a high chance of liking them as well.He really does seem to get so much better with every book! It's fantastic to see. And is that the latest one published? Because yeah, some HEAVY stuff happens in that one (and I also just want them to be happy together! I mean, Sam can be a dick but it's still totally possible! ;;)

Okay. Yes. I definitely need to get cracking on reading this series sooner rather than later.
On a related note, I have been a broken record about this book on my DW for almost a year now, but have you heard of/read The House on Vesper Sands? It has much to recommend it to anyone who is a Blake and Avery fan. XD
And is that the latest one published?
Yes, and I had to wait just short of forever for it to finally publish over here (and then when it did, things got super crazy and I didn't have the energy to devote to it). But from what I know of the plot, I think it's going to be fabulous. (And if anyone can help Sam to trade his dickishness in for happiness, it's Surendranath. I love those two and their dynamic so much. ^^; )

Yessss Sam and Surendranath's dynamic is just so good and they're so utterly sweet with each other. I just want them to help each other work through all their issues and then be happy forever. Not sure this is a realistic goal, but I hope for it anyway. XD

To which I add my fervent hopes. They have already both gone through so much together, I just really want all that effort and those good intentions to pay off. (And yes, there is always fic, but it would be nice if Mukherjee takes it in that direction too. ^^;; )
