Hands down, the Beamdog Forums are the fannish space I've hung out in the most over the past year. The world has had almost two decades to come up with a series of games I'll love more than Baldur's Gate and it has yet to succeed. That these forums are so active is testament to the fact that many others feel as I do. As an added bonus, after you're finished playing through with a variety of party and alignment configurations, there are tons of mods for you to explore.

I'm not a gamer, but I do remember Baldur's Gate. I was a pc widow for some of that time and the little babes had no father. Ahahaha! Fun times fun times!

(TO be fair to the guy, he was probably avoiding grumpy, crochety, zombie-fied me, who was still sleep deprived because I was breast-feeding the little boy then!)

- I know this has nothing to do with gaming, but yeah. ^_~ Sorry. It just reminded me is all.

Aww, it's entirely understandable for someone to be crotchety and zombie-fied in that situation. But it's also just the game--I engaged in my fourth (fifth?) complete replay this summer and there was at least one holiday weekend when I did nothing else aside from occasionally sleep and eat...and I already knew the story arc. It really is that engrossing. So pc widowhood probably had more to do with BG than you!
