Putting these three little guys in tiny terracotta pots on my nightstand is the most Gram-worthy thing I've done in my life.*

Two airplants in pots

We're a week into Phase 2 reopening and the only thing going up faster than new cases is the amount of traffic on the roads. It was nice not having much traffic: the city was quieter, the air was cleaner, and I could walk pretty much everywhere a third as quickly as normal (although granted, there were far fewer places for me to walk to).

On the other hand, bookstores are open again, which is excellent. Also open is my favorite Ethiopian market, where I went last Wednesday to get a bag of injera. Since then, I have been cooking All The Ethiopian Food, which is also excellent.

Later that evening, I saw that someone had left a ton of move-out furniture by the loading dock, including two bookshelves. Two bookshelves that match my furniture, and that aren't Wayfair/Amazon particle board crap. Two bookshelves of the sort I have been trying to acquire for nigh on two years now. I hauled them up to my place as fast as you please; no easy feat considering that after three months of quarantine, my muscle tone is best described as "nonexistent."

Reader, these two bookshelves SPARK JOY.

ahahaha issokay ... it's a just in case - my children persuaded me to get it because I am still resistant to whatsapp (and it feels like I too readily available to folk I'd rather not avail myself to, too readily - to be able to message me and stuff.

I don't post often as much as here really - as I've gotten busier at work.

but I still read, but generally too exhausted to comment even - ahahhaha!
