Hello, Yuletide author! Thank you so much for writing for me! I am thrilled to be getting a story in any one of these fandoms. Aside from a small number of DNWs, I am pretty easy to please. I love everything from gen to NC-17 and pretty much every genre, be it humor, action, slice-of-life, PWP, angst, you name it. I also like to be surprised, so while I've given some prompts for each of my requests below, please don't feel bound to them if you'd like to try something else.
Kinks: Angst, banter, found families, humor, language (and how characters use it to enforce or transgress social status), relationships crossing/transgressing social status, wordplay, worldbuilding
DNWs: Eroticized rape, heavy duty AU (e.g., high school, space travel), violence for its own sake
The Goblin Emperor: Deret Beshelar, Cala Athmaza, Csevet Aisava, Maia Drazhar
One or two or all of them, please. Platonic friendship or in a romantic entanglement with another one, two, or three of each other, please. These are such great characters inhabiting such a great world—I'd just like to read more about them and it in whatever configuration you desire. These maybe golden oldies, but I can always do with more of:
- Maia struggling to understand courtly customs, ceremonies, or expectations of the emperor, and those around him helping him to do so
- Beshelar, or Cala, or Csevet struggling to understand why Maia has done inexplicable thing
- Maia in danger and how his allies circle the wagons to save him, or how he works to save his secretary or nohecharei from danger, or how Beshelar works to save Cala from danger, or vice versa, or the nohecharei saving Csevet, or vice versa...
- Maia takes a state journey through his realm. What happens?
If you want to expand on any of the lovely worldbuilding in the novel (airships, geopolitics, language, fashion, entertainment), please do so! Also, I know these prompts are all Maia-centric, but that's just where my brain is at the moment; I'll be just as happy with a fic where he isn't the star of the show. Similarly, if you'd like to include any of the novel's other characters, feel free!
Captive Prince: Laurent, Damen
These two. Such a great dynamic. I love the rivalry, and the banter, and the suspicion and hidden pasts that slowly grow into trust and more. I'd be happy to see:
- PWP, either straight-up delicious smut or sex that didn't go quite as smoothly as either party intended
- Missing scenes from the novels
- Something set after the series' conclusion: what unexpected challenges do the two face? How do they get on ten years into their reigns? Are there any pockets of resistance, and how do they deal with them?
- Friction over the differing customs/politics of their two realms
Humor, angst, hurt/comfort, drama, some of it all—I'm game for reading anything. And feel free to include any of the other characters from the series as well.
The King and the Clown Jang-saeng, Gong-gil
I squeed when I saw that this was nominated. I would love fanfic of these two, set at any point before, during, or after the movie. Some ideas to get you started:
- Why did Gong-gil decide to leave home with Jang-saeng, and how difficult was it to adjust?
- What was the sweetest or scariest thing they experienced on their travels prior to coming to court?
- Whose idea was it to become acrobats (and did they try anything else)?
- When (did?) they ever consummate their relationship?
- How difficult was it for Jang-saeng and Gong-gil to adjust to both being low-status entertainers, instead of yangban and serf, and who moved them in that direction first?
The era's history and social mores fascinate me, so if you are a Joseon dynasty buff, please. Do not hold back.
Silver Diamond: Shigeka Narushige, Kou
Silver Diamond is quite possibly my favorite manga and ranks within my top 10 reads of all time. I cried when the manga concluded. I love all Sugiura's characters, but love Narushige most of all. I love the juxtaposition of his wardrobe and polite language with the swashbuckling defender he becomes when his dander's up. I love how Sugiura has him pivot between quiet resignation, despair, hope, and anger. I love his interactions with the serpents, and adore his interactions with Kou. Please give me more of these characters, whether it be pre-manga, missing scene, or post-manga. I'd also be happy to see appearances by anyone else from the Silver Diamond gang. (Also, I am very open to romance/smut in this universe, but full disclosure: I ship Narushige with Rakan and Chigusa. Sorry, Touji!)
