I am very excited about these three things.

Being a sequel to The Watchmaker of Filigree Street set in Japan (meaning it will joss my Watchmaker sequel fic set in Japan). But oh my goodness, is that Katsu in a light bulb? With the Bedlam Stacks moths? YES, YES IT IS. (The book will publish February 18.)




I love Susann Cokal. I love Mirabilis. I love The Kingdom of Little Wounds. I love this beautiful cover. This novel is coming out March 3 and I am very excited.



Amazon, damn them, initially indicated this would publish this past March. In reality, I'll have to wait until August 25 next year. BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT (and yes, I am counting down the days).

Watchmaker is one of my all time favorite books--I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Ahhhh you're so good for me ... I'm sure I've read more books in the last however many months just from your rec alone ... and now you dangle pretty pictures at me to boot!

I'm so shallow sometimes and these are aesthetics I love .... ahahaha!

Of course I don't know when or if I'll ever get to them but ... those are some pretty and pretty sounding books.

Hah! There's nothing wrong with that. It was the covers for Watchmaker of Filigree Street and Mirabilis that got me into Pulley and Cokal to begin with. The best covers capture and sum up the spirit or the feel (or however you want to describe it) of the book...and I'm hoping that's what these will all do for their respective volumes.

If you need a nudge to get around to any of these (assuming you haven't read the authors' earlier works), Turner's The Thief is both a) excellent, and b) something you can read in an afternoon, so I'd recommend starting there.
