I was surprised by how much I loved Maia, given my nearly lifelong penchant for more dark and angsty types. My initial awareness of the books was through a discussion of the Maia-Setheris dynamic, and I thought it was going to be more in that vein.
I like Celehar as a POV character, but I like seeing the sights and denizens of Amalo through his eyes even more.
