Yup, and that last bit is key, because I've had ones that do that without bringing any enjoyment or benefit to my life beyond a paycheck, and it's just not been worth it.
Thanks for the commiseration on the building. It's been an insane ride for far too long, but thankfully the tenants association has been able to get the management company to start paying attention.
