I realize this is the least of it, but if they knew Lillian's sister was a witch, even if they didn't know which witch she was, why were they so worried about her sister getting custody? Very good question! The question is never raised (let alone any answer being given), which makes me think Mandanna was hoping readers wouldn't think of it themselves.
