Agreed, the authorial craft of books on the topic and often leave something to be desired, for sure. But what broke me with this book was its authors' repeated insistence that entrants to the field need the ability to write logically and clearly in addition to technical skills—while being incapable of writing logically and clearly themselves. As you say, this one definitely reeks of cash cow.
