...and I really feel as though I am staring into the black abyss of Stephenie Meyer's dysfunctional early experiences with sexuality.

These books have gone from addictive Mary Sue teenybopper wish fulfillment to embarassingly thinly-veiled therapy session.

A copy of this book fell into my computer. I have read the page you've mentioned, and a couple either side. So, Edward's a pillow biter. Interesting.

I can't read any more, it hurts my brain. I hope you get what you want out of it ;)

For when you're done (http://www.journalfen.net/community/fandom_wank/1171188.html), here's the post I read yesterday (http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/630150.html) about the book.

Edward's a pillow biter.
Well he has to be. Since he's obviously no carpet muncher. < /sarcasm>

But seriously, that was one of the big clues that smeyer has capital "I" Issues with S-E-X. Because after the One And Only True Love Of Her LIFE! discomfits her during her first time...his reaction is not to suggest, oh, oral sex, or mutual masturbation, or even heavy petting, but ABSOLUTE CELIBACY FOREVER. Because THEY ARE SOUL MATES AND HE HAS ***HURT*** HER.

So let me get this straight, our shimmery, sparkly hero has, from what I understand, not had sex in his 100+ years as a vamp. After his first time, he's so traumatised by the event, the bruises that Bella didn't even notice, that he doesn't want to have sex again.

I'm supposed to believe the guy is not in any way a very closeted gay man?

Mind you, I'm still trying to work out what position they were in for him to bite the pillows in such a way that she became covered in feathers. The suggestion I read elsewhere, that the pillow was over her face, is the only one that makes sense.
