I haven't done one of these in a while, have I? In honor of Friday the 13th, let's have a few pictures of some recent floral surprises from within my houseplant zoo.
First up is the parasol mushroom currently cohabiting with one of my Meyer lemons.
These guys usually disappear after a day or so. I do like the pop of color they bring.
And finally...
A loofah! I knew these guys fruited late, but I hadn't been expecting this late. Seriously, it's been close to freezing several nights since this finally appeared, but so far it's hanging on. My dreams of hechima champuru all summer long may have come to naught, but maybe I'll be able to get one dish in this year.
