Yuletide Reveal

So when I signed up for Yuletide this year I somehow managed not to find Temeraire, or Natsume Yujincho, or IwtV, or about three other things I was considering doing, in the nominated fandoms list (and I went through that thing with a comb). But that was okay, because I secretly wanted to write another fandom even more and as luck would have it of the six fandoms I offered, that was the only one I matched on.

I knew the moment I got my prompt how I wanted to interpret my recipient's request. After 1.5 months of panic about how on earth I was going to actually go through with that, I had a lot of fun writing this fic:

Title: 年末怪奇事記　(A Record of Unusual Occurrences in the Eleventh and Twelfth Months)
Fandom: 陰陽師/Onmyoji
Summary: The purification rites had concluded without incident. Midnight came, and with it the new year. All was silent in the capital except for the breeze, which carried the single mournful note of a flute. Seimei leaned against the pillar of his veranda and looked up at the clear winter sky. "It seems troublesome things are on their way," he said, and smiled.

I also want to talk about how awesome my Yuletide gift was.

First of all, it's called The Honor Guard, it's by spiderfire, and it's pretty darn amazing.
