It's a testament to how shitty my past week has been that I forgot to buy the new Ichi Raci for four days. I rectified this situation after work today.
So. Much Love. So. Much Love. It's a good thing I read this after returning from Tokyo, because if I'd read it before, Sugiura would be dealing with her very own American stalker. My love for this woman is endless. I'm in awe. I'm in utter awe. Her stories just keep getting better and better.
This month's Silver Diamond chapter was 62 pages long. It felt like ten. I read the thing in about fifteen minutes, because I could not put it down. What's so wonderful about the new stuff? Where do I start? How about the cover illus, which looks a whole lot like Chigusa kissing Rakan if you don't look to carefully (and even still when you do.)? Or the makito of Bondage!Chigusa? Or perhaps the burning looks Chigusa and Rakan shoot each other every other panel? Or the recession buster-sized dose of hurt/comfort? And don't forget the little bomb Sugiura just dropped about Rakan's mother. 'Switch all on' says the Engrish on the first page. Damn straight she did. I love every inkblot of it.
In related news, Naono Bohra has a new yomikiri in the latest Reijin, and the most recent FMA almost made me cry. But that squeeage has been put on indefinite hold until I get over my utter fascination with the newest SD chapter. SO. MUCH. LOVE.
