Continuing to catch up on challenges past, I come to:

Challenge #7

In your own space, create your own challenge. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

My challenge for this prompt is pretty simple: be the first person to post fanfic/fanart for something. Not for bragging rights, but because fandoms have to start somehow and creating something for that book or comic or podcast—or even character—you've always thought should have some fanworks but doesn't might inspire other people who've been thinking the same thing to do so too.

Thank you! There are a few obscure manga I want to try this for. With luck, we'll both inspire additional authors to contribute too. 💗

This is a great idea! I'll have to think about all the books I've read or shows I've watched where I've had the passing thought to write something and see if those fandoms already exist.

After I wrote this challenge I checked AO3 for the heck of it and found that someone actually had written a story for an obscure manga series I adore. It was completely independent of my post, but if I can pop something out for another canon that doesn't have anything yet, maybe I can make someone else just as happy.
