This year's garden experiment is vines on the balcony.
This is a loofah, approximately two weeks post-sprouting, and its companion dill plant. If all goes well, I will have fresh loofah to use in my Okinawan cooking later this summer.
Here is a winter gourd, alongside its companion dill and a grass interloper. I blame the sparrows for the presence of the latter.
And, as an omake, here is a honey orange seedling. I've got two of these going currently, of which this is the furthest along. Here's hoping it survives the blight that took out my Meyer lemon trees this past winter.
