Season of Drabbles
Dear Author: Thank you for writing some variant of drabble for me! I love going into stories blind, so if there's something you've been itching to write for the requested canon and character(s), feel free! (Just do please respect my DNWs as listed in my signup.) I've also listed some prompts for each requested canon and character below, in case you'd like some ideas to get you started. Canons and characters are listed alphabetically with no preference implied by the ordering.
All Elite Wrestling:
Anthony Bowens - Would love some Acclaimed canon-typical hijinx, either solo or with Max Caster here.
Britt Baker - Please give me Britt being Britt. Snarky interactions with any of the other requested wrestlers or another of your choice would be lovely.
Jon Moxley - Some variety of drabble with Mox on the mic cutting a promo against another wrestler of your choice would be lovely.
Kenny Omega - Kenny being badass in the ring. Kenny geeking out over video games. Kenny prepping for or recovering from a challenging match.
Max Caster - Would love some Acclaimed canon-typical hijinx, either solo or with Anthony Bowen. here
Orange Cassidy - Whatever.
Baldur’s Gate:
I’d love anything for any of these characters, singly or in any combination, set during Baldur’s Gate 1 or between BG1 and BG2 (I leave it up to you whether to count Siege of Dragonspear as canonically occuring between BG1 and 2). Canon-typical banter between any of the requested characters and/or Charname would be delightful, as would anything focusing on their major questlines through mid-BG2. Rasaad as a gen party member or in a developing romance with Charname are both fine.
Boo - Something from Boo’s POV would be stellar (for instance, what does he think when XYZ happens), as would Boo interacting with Minsc or Charname or any of the other requested characters.
Dynaheir - A scene from Dynaheir’s childhood or training, or meeting Minsc or Boo for the first time, or her experiences before she reunites with Minsc in BG1 would be perfect.
Kivan - What brought Kivan to High Hedge in the first place? Why is he canonically silent after the party defeats Tavok? What gives him purpose once the party does? Where does he go at the conclusion of BG2, and does he miss the party?
Mazzy Fentan - What does paladin training entail when you’re told you can never be a paladin? Do tales of Charname or any of the other listed characters inspire Mazzy toward this goal before she meets them in BG2? (And if so, how accurate are those tales?)
Minsc - Just give me anything where Minsc is being Minsc. XD
Nalia de’Arnise - Nalia! Her childhood with her family, a moment where she starts to catch on about what “helping the less fortunate” really entails, or dealing with trouble in the family keep would be great.
Rasaad yn Bashir - Rasaad kicking ass as a monk, or traveling from Calimport to Nashkel, or interacting with Charname and/or any of the requested characters (and being befuddled by it or not!) would be great.
Viconia DeVir - Viconia worshipping Shar (and Shar responding!), or trying to survive before meeting Charname in BG1 or reuniting with Charname in SoD or BG2 would be excellent.
Blake & Avery Series:
Feel free to set your preferred drabble form at any point before, during, or after the three books in the series. Gen or an m/m relationship between the requested characters are both fine.
Jeremiah Blake - A scene from Blake’s childhood, or during his transportation to or return from India. Blake reflecting on Avery early during their acquaintance, or at some other point in the books. How accurate is Blake’s impression of Avery at that point?
William Avery - A scene from Avery’s childhood, or between books 1 & 2 or 2 & 3. Avery training the militia in Devon.
Doctrine of Labyrinths:
Gen or an m/m relationship between the requested characters are both fine.
A scene from the childhood of Felix Harrowgate and/or Mildmay Foxe. Or Felix and/or Mildmay encounters a new form of magic. What happens next? Or, Felix and/or Mildmay writes a letter. To whom? About what? How does the recipient respond? Or, a romance or sexual liaison between these two, either during or post-canon. How does it happen, and what do they do the morning after?
The Goblin Emperor Series:
Feel free to set your preferred drabble form at any point before, during, or after The Goblin Emperor through the conclusion of The Grief of Stones. Gen or m/m between any combination of Beshelar, Cala, Csevet, or Maia is fine, as is gen or above rating for Csethiro/Maia.
Azhanharad - Azhanharad joining the Vigilant Brotherhood, or training as a brother, or slice of life from his day.
Cala Athamaza - Cala entering into training as a maza, or discovering his magical ability for the first time. Or, what does Cala think about the position of nohecharis before he ever has any inkling that he could become one?
Csethiro Ceredin - Csethiro training in martial arts, or defying her family to pursue an "unladylike" interest in secret, or being told for the first time that she's a candidate for marriage to Edrahasivar VII (and what does she think when she first hears)?
Csevet Aisava - Csevet dealing with a particularly insistent petitioner to the throne, or slice-of-life overseeing His Serenity's affairs, or in conversation with one or more of the other requested characters.
Deret Beshelar - Deret training, or geeking out over martial matters privately, or with Csethiro and/or Telimezh. Deret on a day off, or protecting Cala and/or Maia from danger.
Kiru Athmaza - Kiru first understanding her call to duty as a cleric, or treating patients in the Court, or protecting Maia from danger. Kiru and Telimezh getting to know one another better would also be lovely.
Maia Drazhar - Maia courting Csethiro after their marriage. Maia scolding his nohecharei or Csevet to take better care of themselves. Maia learning fencing or some other martial skill from Csethiro, Beshelar, and/or Telimezh.
Telimezh - Getting to know Kiru in the early days after her assignment as nohecharo. Telimezh geeking out over something martial privately or with Csethiro and/or Beshelar.
The Greenhollow Series:
Adela Silver - A scene from Adela’s youth, or while she’s trying to wrangle a supernatural creature, or Henry and/or Tobias would be lovely.
Bramble - Bramble keeping order in the forest, or dealing with some sort of fey creature. Bramble chilling out on a lovely summer day in the forest.
Henry Silver - Henry adjusting to his new reality post-series. Henry getting to know Adela or Bramble better.
Tobias Finch - Celebrating the summer or winter solstice in the wood.
The Kingdoms:
Jem Castlereagh and/or Missouri Kite discover the lighthouse gateway wasn’t actually sealed successfully, despite what they thought. One ore both of them travels through...but from where and when, and what happens next?
Or, Joe and/or Kite discovers they need to travel back through the gateway to [correct what wrong/save what life/avert what disaster]. Does they go through with it? Do they tell the other? If so, what do they tell them? What is the result?
Or, other portals are discovered, either during the events in the book, or after its conclusion. Who finds them? What do they do about it?
Or maybe Kite and/or Joe needs to go to France. Why does he need to go? Does he tell the other? Does the other follow him? And what happens to them once he/they are there?
Onmyouji:
Gen or an m/m relationship between the requested characters are both fine.
Abe no Seimei - Abe as a child, or in the form of a kitsune, or learning a particularly complex form of magic.
Minamoto no Hiromasa - Hiromasa as a young kid hearing tales of kitsune or other supernatural creatures. What does he think of them?
Marvel Cinematic Universe:
As stated in my DNWs, please no spoilers from Love and Thunder. However, I have seen all of Disney+ Loki, so feel free to incorporate that into your drabble if you so wish. Gen or an m/m relationship between the requested characters are both fine.
Loki - Loki planning or executing canon-typical hijinx against Thor or others in Asgard. What is he plotting? How well does he pull it off?
Thor - A scene from Thor's childhood, or while he's out protecting the realms. Thor cutting loose in a tavern in Asgard, or engaging in adventures with Loki.
The Watchmaker of Filigree Street:
Feel free to include any other characters from the books as you like. I’ve read The Bedlam Stacksand The Lost Future of Pepperharrow, so no need to worry about spoiling for those if you want to write something that references them. That said, my headcanon stops at the conclusion of Watchmaker, so if you want to write something that pretends the other volumes don’t exist, feel free.
Katsu - What does Katsu get up to when he’s out of the house on Filigree Street? How does he interact with Six when Keita or Thaniel aren’t around. What does he think of any of the other requested characters?
Keita Mori - What memory prompted Keita to create Katsu? Or how about an entry outlining one or more memories of a possible future in his diary?
Six - What does Six get up to in the house when Keita or Thaniel aren’t around? How does she interact with Katsu when they aren’t there. Or, give me a slice of life from Six’s time in the workhouse.
Thaniel Steepleton - Thaniel as a child before he travels to London, or reflecting on his life to date as he travels to London (what are his hopes/fears about the future)?
