I'm really intrigued by those aspects of his character as well; Larian created such a believable depiction of a cynical, transactional operator whose bought into his self-mythology so completely that he's easily punked when others' actions don't conform to those algorithms.

To my deep chagrin, I lost the entirety of that postcanon fic when microsoft locked me out of my computer; I need to either double down on trying to get HD access back or just rewrite everything from scratch...
