Did I buy a lot of books last winter?
Yes, yes, I did. And it would have been much, much worse save for that LibraryThing account that lets me see at a glance just how ridiculous my TBR pile has become.
Here we have some Naono Bohra, Yamagishi Reiko's Hiizuru Tokoro no Tenshi and historical novels by Hatakenaka Megumi, Saeki Yasuhide, Asai Makate, and Akizuki Koh. Expect a lot of squeeing about this last one.
This is Shuten Unknown, the new series by my future bride, Sugiura Shiho. Like Akizuki Koh's books, they are amazingly hard to track down because the people who have bought them don't seem to be selling them back, which means they will be good.
A novel by Mizuhara Tohru I picked up to read on metro and the real prize, which is Naono Bohra's Yoru to Asa. I balked a little bit at KBooks' asking price, but having read the thing, I can now say it was absolutely worth it. It collects Naono's djs about a couple of side characters from the samurai chapters in Naono's Hoshigarina Kimi to Futsutsuka Boku, and I kinda go nuts for Japanese historical BL (the pronouns! the status gaps!). I have most of the djs in individual form too, and it's quite interesting to see how she edited them for this omnibus.
A few volumes of Bleach that I was missing, some more Hiizuru Tokoro, and the final volume of Takemitsu Zamurai, which I have been waiting seven years to read.
Ooku, Natsume Yujincho, Matsumoto Taiyo's excellent Go Go Monster, yet another historical drama (Heian period!) and the final volumes of Silver Diamond by Sugiura Shiho (we're getting married!). I am rereading the entire series to put off getting to these, because I am going to cry when I'm finished.
Lots more Naono Bohra, Ooku, Hatakenaka Megumi, Yamagishi Reiko, Fukai Yuki, Niki Hideyuki, and the final volume of Fullmetal Alchemist, which I will also cry over when I'm finished.
