The sad thing is that my opening salvo was actually occurring as part of a serious political discussion, and not some breathless fandom squeeage, if such a thing can be believed.

I tremble to ask, but exactly what sort of serious political discussion was that opening salvo a part OF?

I mean, me, all for the gay marriage and such, but I don't recall that particular phrase ever coming up in any of my political discussions. ;-)
