Yeah, especially things like food and fresh fruit, without which I am not a happy person.

And yes, yaoi is the beginning of the end as far as money is concerned. If you live overseas, you spend a lot of money to get the few you can't live without. If you live in Japan you spend a lot of money on every shiny thing within sight. So either way you cut it, you'd better have a cushy job or else;-)
