I can't disagree with any of your complaints re: Chambers. For what it's worth, I do think that the subsequent books in the series are much stronger both with plot and worldbuilding. But they do retain some of that Aggressively Woke kind of approach. I enjoyed most of the other books in the series much more than the first one, but I also understand if Chambers is just flat-out not for you.
