I love exchanges and I'm so happy to be getting a fic from you, especially in one of these lesser-known fandoms. In terms of the fic itself, I like everything from G-rated character studies to full on smut. Slice-of-life vignettes and intricately plotted epics are both fine by me. My kinks include humor, banter, loyalty, found families, characters confronting social norms, and hurt comfort. My fairly short list of DNWs includes noncon, character death, or heavy-duty AU.
The Goblin Emperor - Cala Athmaza/Deret Beshelar/Maia Drazhar, Csevet Aisava/Cala Athmaza/Deret Beshelar, Csevet Aisava/Maia Drazhar
Really, you cannot go wrong with any of the above configurations. I love everything about these characters and the world they inhabit. Perhaps a comedy of errors as Maia tries to navigate his public and private relationships with his nohecharei or secretary (or they with each other). Or perhaps how the pairing(s) of your choice react to some new, grave threat to Edhrehasivar VII's safety. Or Maia reacting in typical Maia fashion to some ornate (or ridiculous) Court ritual, and how the rest of the gang reacts to him?
Fandom-specific kinks for this book include formal/informal language, and Maia's everyman qualities butting up against the Elven court's penchant for ceremony, but really, I love all the characters in all imaginable configurations, so please let your imagination run wild.
The Watchmaker of Filigree Street - Thaniel Steepleton/Keita Mori
For these two, anything about how they negotiate Mori's peculiar ability, or how the both of the negotiate society, and how they do and do not fit into it. Or really just the two of them interacting.
For specific prompts, how about:
- Thaniel asking Mori to make a clockwork pet (for him? for Six?)
- How the quintessential Victorian family outing (to the seaside? the Crystal Palace?) would play out when the family in question is Mori, Thaniel, and Six
- Mori wanting to see where Thaniel grew up
Here too, any fic about these characters, at any point in the timeline (pre-, mid-, or post-novel) will send me over the moon, so if you have an idea of your own, please do run with it!
The Queen's Thief - Attolia/Eugenides
Feel free to play anywhere in the timeline with these two. I love Gen's devotion to Attolia, and the way she reciprocates (albeit with the caution she's learned as ruler). I love how she's the more dominant of the two.
I'm also a huge fan of MWT's worldbuilding - the cultures, the politics. Anything that incorporates any of these elements would be grand. Maybe:
- One of them has a secret to confide in the Magus
- Gen and Attolia make a bet with each other about...and then...?
- A new technology threatens the current balance of power
- Gen and Attolia host a state dinner in a palace garden
But as with my other requests, these are just suggestions, so feel free to use some or all (or none!) as you like.
